Nick Stathopoulos

Nick Stathopoulos is a self-taught artist known for his hyper-realistic style. Recognised for meticulous and highly skilled work, Stathopoulos was awarded the Archibald Prize ‘People’s Choice’ award in 2016. The artist’s portrait of Sudanese refugee and lawyer, Deng Adut, movingly captured his subject’s inner world and persona: Adut’s life-spark, character and commanding presence. Stathopoulos’ highly acclaimed work, which encompasses landscape and still life, as well as portraiture, has been selected as a finalist in numerous national prizes and awards in Australia and in the UK.
