Kerry McInnis | Doug Moran National Portrait Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Kerry McInnis’ portrait of Hugh Mackay, ‘Listening to Us (Hugh Mackay OA)’, is a finalist in this year’s Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. The artist’s sensitive portrait of one of Australia’s most well-known social researchers and highly regarded authors is one of 30 works selected from 150 (semi-finalists) (exhibition date TBA). The Doug Moran National Portrait Prize is the richest portrait prize in the world and the standard of work is always extremely high. The prize encourages both excellence and creativity in contemporary portraiture by asking artists to interpret the look and personality of a chosen sitter, either unknown or well known. For further information please visit the Moran Arts Foundation website.
