“This oil painting, like much of my oeuvre, depicts a waterway, a creek. Much of this artist’s life has been spent sketching and painting on the edges of creek beds and rivers. My muse, Whiskers Creek, has been my constant companion and subject, in drought and in flood, in winter and in summer. I am hoping to evoke a sensation of cold, an appreciation of beauty in an early morning walk along an insignificant creek after a light snow has fallen”- Kerry McInnis, 2023.
