Nick Stathopoulos | Feature artist in documentary ‘The Archibald’

We are excited to announce Nick Stathopoulos, Guest Artist in our 40/40 Project, is a feature artist on ‘The Archibald’, now showing on Foxtel Arts. The film documents 7 artists’ journey creating a portrait for the Archibald Prize, from approaching and painting their sitter/subject to the final judging by the Art Gallery of NSW’s Board of Trustees.Nick Stathopoulos is a five-time Archibald finalist. His 2016 entry of Sudanese refugee lawyer Deng Adut was voted People’s Choice to great critical acclaim and media attention. He has also been hung three times in the Salon des Refuses, twice in the Doug Moran Portrait Prize, and in 2015 was a finalist in the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
