Melinda Schawel | Whyalla Art Prize: Finalist

Congratulations to Melinda Schawel, finalist in this year’s Whyalla Art Prize. This biennial prize is open to all Australian residents for two- dimensional artworks in any medium other than photography.Established in 1972 by the Whyalla Arts Council, the Whyalla Art Prize has developed into a nationally significant award, culminating in an important exhibition of contemporary Australian art. An acquisitive prize of $25, 000 and a People’s Choice award of $500 will be awarded.
Approximately 60 works may be viewed in the final exhibition, held at the Middleback Arts Centre, Whyalla, SA
